Dr Emmanuel Adukwu is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science at the University of the West of England. He is a microbiologist and lectures on a range of topics including antimicrobial agents, microbiology, and communicable disease control and health protection.
Emmanuel’s PhD was focused on investigating the challenges associated with community acquired infections. His research interests are in the areas of harnessing and developing antimicrobials from natural compounds, disinfection and the global impact of infectious diseases particularly those caused by antibiotic resistant pathogens.
Emmanuel is an active member of several professional organisations including the Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM), Faculty of Public Health (FPH), the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) where he is on the committee for the Africa initiative Group (AIG). Emmanuel maintains several professional collaborations/affiliations with Universities globally including Kennesaw State University, Georgia (USA), University of Nigeria, Nigeria (UNN) and University of Lagos (Nigeria),
