The International Water Security Network (IWSN) has been shortlisted for a 2017 Green Gown Award. The IWSN is one of three finalists in the Research and Development: Institution category of the awards which “recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges”.
The University of the West of England, the lead partner in the IWSN, and the Student Union at UWE have been shortlisted in nine categories – no other institution has as many finalists. James Longhurst, Assistant Vice-Chancellor: Environment and Sustainability at UWE, said: “I am delighted that the sustainability initiatives of colleagues across the University are being recognised in the 2017 Green Gown Awards. I am particularly pleased to see the partnership work between UWE Bristol and the Students’ Union reflected in our set of finalists. I wish each of our finalists the very best of luck.”
