From 2-6 February 2015, the IWSN co-hosted a postgraduate seminar on ‘Modelling Coupled Social-Ecological Systems’ for IWSN students as well as those working within the Sustainable Water Action (SWAN) programme. Over the course of five days students and lecturers worked their way through more than a dozen readings in coupled SESs, ending up with a half day workshop on Bayesian Belief Network analysis. Supporting lecturers included Professor Chad Staddon, Associate Professor Mark Everard, Dr Kerry Burton and Lorraine De Souza (all of UWE, Bristol) and Professor Rhys Evans (HLB, Stavanger, Norway).
