Monash South Africa awards five water security scholarships

Monash SouthAfricaMonash South Africa has awarded water security scholarships to five successful applicants from different parts of Africa. Those awarded come from Eritrea (1), Ethiopia (1), Zambia (1) and Zimbabwe (2). These scholarships are funded through the International Water Security Network. The scholarships will assist the successful applicants enrol for a two-year Master of Philosophy (Integrated Water Management) degree which is offered through the Water Research Node at Monash South Africa and begins in March. The students will be required to undertake their masters’ research on issues related to water quality security as part of the International Water Security Network and will undergo a six month coursework programme before commencing their research, which will be done over a period of 18 months.
