Wayne Powell handles administration and communications for the International Water Security Network. Before taking on this role in September 2013, he worked as a research associate at the University of the West of England (UWE) on a three-and-a-half-year project on Media Accountability and Transparency in Europe and the Arab World (MediaAcT). During this time, he co-authored several book chapters on media accountability and ethics, including one for The Phone Hacking Scandal: Journalism on Trial (2012). For over ten years, he also worked for the journalism ethics charity MediaWise as a researcher and administrator.
